...dinner at diva's
Published on October 4, 2004 By tina_ turner In Personal Relationships
have been rather busy this past weekend ...if only at taking life easy..)
so wats going on in my life..?
well i read a really nice quote by "will rogers" that i would love to share with you all...~ even if you are on the right track you would get run over if you just sit on it..~
how true..! you know it's rather ironic but i dare say it takes a lot of effort to even take life easy....coz ideally speaking all i wud like to do is put my feet up and go to sleep..
it was sis b'day and we decided to go for a night out ...me,y,y's sis , minnie mouse...quite an assortment u'd say ...actually yes the most weird pple with pecularities known only to the few of us ...all decided to have dinner at diva's..(..that's italian..)
but before that , we caught a movie at pvr saket..." lets enjoy" with ma and pa ...n choc cake, litchi shake at cafe cofee day ,the best part of it apart from it being "chatrapati shivaji's "( he he he...!! i just hope to god he's not reading my blog...ahem..) treat was that i got to see some rare video albums of U2, BRYAN ADAMS,ROXETTE....and other rock acts
okay so how was the movie...?i'd die if i had to see it again with my folks...i mean honestly every time they delivered one of their oh so cool one liners i'd literally cringe in my seat...thank god i had sis for company..and right after the movie ended some of the cast was right there in the audience partly to watch the first housefull show of their movie and partly to promote the music....was itching to speak to them ,say hi or take their autograph ...or just about anything...) ...not that they were superstars but then still...
by the time we made it to DIVA's it had started raining...a drizzle at first but then a heavy downpour....so just made it in the nick of time....now diva's is a fancy restaurant and all but then you've got to have a taste for italian....i mean okay everybody likes pizza...of course but then wen we ordered authentic italian dishes i just cudn't get them down my mouth...the b'day cake was yummm though....
so we decided to go to ashoka"s for coffee and apparently they have a grt disc too ...so chatrapati shivaji had to drive the oh! so beautiful ladies through flooded roadsall the while worrying his poor car wud just give up ...he he he and wat did d ladies do? sing their hearts out...i mean honestly rains or no rains , it was the most beautiful weather..but the tragedy is on reaching ashoka we found out taht it being gandhi jayanti and all that ...it was a dry day so the discs were all closed...we checked out their cofee shop which turned out to be pretty disappointing reminding me of khadi gram udyog ...to say the least...
so there we were the six of us sitting in hotel ashoka's lobby staring at the paintings of someone called "subhash"...(..ahem..)and wishing we cud all go to heaven with gandhiji....or wherever he was,as if a national holiday wasn't tribute enough why d hell did they have to close all the discs...really we even thought of going to the manager ...begging him to open it for us ...wat with shelly di agreeing to be the dj..
anyways so to cut a long story short we finally had coffee at capitol's grt place ...grt ambience...had their cieling coverd with kites....or was it the ashoka ..(whatever...) and spent the night atminnie mouse's hostel ...which though has good rooms but absolutely horrible bathrooms...
